HOME SCHOOL a one-room schoolhouse built in 1903. This photograph shows the schoolhouse circa 1930’s a time in which Home School served the local pioneering families of the San Simeon area. The 1.1 acre site on which the schoolhouse is situated has room to add a new structure and renovate the schoolhouse for another use such as a Bed & Breakfast, or other compatible use on this property that is zoned Agriculture.
Easy access to this property is via a paved road maintained by the County of San Luis Obispo. This 1.1 acre parcel has varied terrain from level where the schoolhouse is situated to rolling upward from the road frontage, where there are panoramic views of pastures, native pine forests, rolling hills and a peek of blue water of the Pacific Ocean. There is some historical significance to the Home School schoolhouse structure.
